
Supervisor, Procurement – Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Complete accountability for procurement services and physical assets
• Identification and guidance on the most suitable procurement methods to minimize risk exposure
• Supervision of public sector procurement activities to ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and standards
• Create and oversee a diverse range of contracts
• Support in the creation and distribution of Solicitations, including Requests for Proposals, Bids, Quotations, and Qualifications
• Perform evaluations of solicitations, negotiate contracts and amendments, and manage contracts and records
• Educate staff on Lean Methodologies and spearhead Process Improvement initiatives that enhance overall supply chain performance
• Enhance supply chain efficiency by adopting best practices and promoting continuous improvement efforts
• Simplify procurement processes, improve supplier relationships, and achieve cost reductions across the supply chain
• Work collaboratively across departments to align procurement strategies with the organization's objectives
• A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in procurement and contracts within a Procurement Department or Agency
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is mandatory
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required, preferably in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• If the degree is not available, a High School Diploma, along with at least three (3) Procurement Training Certifications obtained within the last three (3) years from recognized professional organizations is required: Globally and/or Nationally recognized Procurement/Supply Chain organizations (e.g., NIGP, CAPPO, ASCM, NCMA, CSCMP, CIPS)
• A certificate as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), along with Six Sigma Certification, is preferred
