This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Adjusting Team, which includes Liability desktop adjusters.
• Direct and manage personnel within the National Accounts business division.
• Ensure excellence in quality and customer service.
• Assist with training, development, and technical requirements.
• Manage production and quality objectives to align with department goals.
• Achieve or surpass service level agreements for Commercial Clients.
• Foster a high-performance work environment.
• Support financial and production objectives through KPIs such as abeyance, cycle time, adjuster billings, claims response times, and interim and final billings.
• Conduct quality assurance evaluations.
• Review operational dashboard KPI targets on a weekly basis.
• Address escalated complaints and ensure they are resolved.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members.
• Serve in a consultative and advisory role regarding claims matters and technical challenges.
• Meet individually with adjusters to approve denials and settlements that exceed their authority.
• Engage in the recruitment, selection, and performance management of staff.
• A university degree or a combination of education and relevant business experience.
• CIP Designation or actively pursuing completion, along with relevant CIP courses necessary for Adjuster license eligibility.
• At least 7 years of experience in Personal Lines and Commercial Liability claims adjusting.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Fully licensed as an Adjuster in Ontario and various provincial jurisdictions, excluding Quebec, or capable of obtaining those licenses.
• Excellent communication abilities, encompassing listening, interviewing, and negotiating skills.
• Capability to adjust communication style as needed for different audiences.
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership in training and mentoring junior staff and establishing career pathways.
• Proficient in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to quickly learn new technical systems, including client claims systems.
• A proactive and positive approach to customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills for managing conflict and challenging situations.
• Bilingualism is considered an asset.
