Supervisor, Claims Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist the Management team in overseeing daily operations within the Claims department.

• Responsible for training and developing both new hires and existing staff members in the department.

• Design and maintain workflows, procedures, and policies that promote and support optimal performance.

• Guide employees in achieving Allied’s standards for productivity, quality, and goal attainment.

• Aid in the development and execution of workflows to enhance consistency and accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH.

• Monitor various reports such as Workflow Manager, Pended claims, Suspended claims, Audits, and Automation.

• Participate in continuing education classes as necessary, including HIPAA training.

• Lead, coach, inspire, and develop team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the healthcare and/or insurance industry is preferred.

• 1 to 3 years of prior supervisory experience is preferred.

• Strong analytical abilities are essential.

• Familiarity with computer systems is required.

• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding terminology is necessary.

• At least 5 years of experience in medical claims analysis and adjudication, including dental and vision claims analysis.

• Experience in management and training is preferred but not mandatory.
