This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Project Technical Lead - 70%
• Oversees and directs all engineering activities throughout the proposal, design, and construction phases of assigned projects.
• Provides project oversight, managing engineering scope in accordance with technical contracts, developing change orders, and ensuring adherence to project schedules.
• Coordinates and directs the activities of multiple disciplines and the Project Management group on projects of notable scope or a combination of large projects.
• Ensures high standards of quality and responsiveness to fulfill internal and external client requirements in line with company expectations.
• Supervises design activities carried out by team members.
• Responsible for reviewing project drawings, calculations, and specifications, and assumes responsible charge as necessary.
• Management Responsibilities – 20%
• Provides strategic guidance, leadership, and technical oversight for employees to achieve performance goals at individual, team, department, and organizational levels.
• Coaches, trains, and develops technical staff in substations for growth and development opportunities.
• Facilitates weekly team meetings (bi-weekly at a minimum) and actively manages team resource allocation.
• Conducts individual performance evaluations, training, and professional development for team members.
• Business Development Responsibilities – 10%
• Engages and collaborates with the Sales team and engineers across the organization to drive revenue growth and expand services for existing and potential clients.
• Aids in proposal efforts by developing resources, reviewing proposals, and collaborating with the Proposal Development Team, Project Management group, and other departments.
• Maintains strong client relationships with current clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering required from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
• Preferred 6+ years of experience in the Engineering field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire, is strongly preferred.
• Must be analytical, self-driven, and capable of working in high-pressure environments while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Strong analytic and information management capabilities.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, the public, and external agencies.
• High degree of initiative and proven ability to manage multiple projects with clear expectations and timelines.
• Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Shows a proactive approach and seeks new opportunities while understanding the risks to the organization.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and additional software knowledge relevant to the specialty.
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the US.
• Shows openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
