Director, Software Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage a team of engineering managers and senior engineers across global teams.

• Promote uniform engineering practices in design, development, deployment, and operations.

• Develop and implement a technology strategy that aligns with IQVIA Digital business objectives.

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery and operation of API platforms that connect Digital products and datasets.

• Set and uphold standard SDLC, release, and operational processes in accordance with IQVIA Digital engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software development, including the leadership of large-scale engineering teams.

• 8+ years of experience managing engineering managers and/or senior technical leaders.

• Demonstrated ability to lead global, distributed teams and manage complex delivery organizations.

• Proven experience in product-led organizations with effective collaboration between Engineering and Product Management.

• Strong expertise in API architecture, development, and integration platforms.

• Experience with data engineering and large-scale data platforms.

• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (preferably AWS and Snowflake).

• Experience in integrating AI-assisted development and modern engineering tools into the SDLC.
