This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, sustain, and provide Programs of Instruction (POIs) for sUAS and C-UAS training initiatives.
• Design and produce Training Support Packages (TSPs), lesson plans, instructor manuals, student handbooks, assessments, hands-on exercises, and performance evaluations.
• Utilize the Army Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and ADDIE instructional design framework in instructional development.
• Formulate measurable Terminal Learning Objectives (TLOs), Enabling Learning Objectives (ELOs), performance steps, conditions, and standards.
• Deliver classroom instruction, simulator training, laboratory instruction, and live-flight practical exercises.
• Assess student performance and certify proficiency based on established training criteria.
• Act as the lead instructor and mentor for assistant instructors and evaluators.
• Create risk assessments, flight operation plans, safety documentation, and range support materials.
• Organize, coordinate, and execute sUAS flight operations in compliance with FAA regulations, military directives, and client specifications.
• Liaise and resolve conflicts regarding military airspace with installation Range Control, Airfield Operations, and other aviation entities.
• Prepare and submit applications for FAA Part 107 waivers and LAANC authorization requests.
• Offer technical insight on the use of Counter-UAS systems at both tactical and operational levels.
• Assist with operational planning for sUAS and C-UAS deployment during exercises, demonstrations, and customer events.
• Conduct organizational and intermediate (20-level) maintenance on sUAS hardware, software, and mission systems.
• Diagnose and fix issues with sUAS platforms, avionics, payloads, communication devices, firmware, and mission planning software.
• Ensure accountability of training equipment, aircraft, batteries, support gear, and training documentation.
• Stay proficient with emerging sUAS technologies, FAA regulations, military doctrine, and current tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Travel as necessary to fulfill customer training and operational needs.
• At least five (5) years of professional experience in operating small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS).
• Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate in good standing.
• Current Department of War sUAS Master Trainer certification.
• Experience in planning, coordinating, and employing Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) at both tactical and operational levels.
• Background in developing military Programs of Instruction (POIs), Training Support Packages (TSPs), lesson plans, and related instructional materials.
• Familiarity with the Army Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and/or ADDIE instructional design methodology.
• Experience in creating Terminal Learning Objectives (TLOs), Enabling Learning Objectives (ELOs), and performance-based training products.
• Proven experience in conducting classroom, laboratory, and field instruction.
• Knowledge of FAA Part 107 regulations, waiver processes, and LAANC authorizations.
• Experience in coordinating sUAS operations within military airspace and with installation aviation authorities.
• Understanding of sUAS hardware, software, mission planning systems, and organizational/intermediate (20-level) maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
