Study Design Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Interpret and translate sponsor protocol specifications into protocol-specific databases to create Statements of Work for Central Lab Services projects.

• Utilize technical, therapeutic-area, client, and organizational process knowledge to develop thorough database designs.

• Maintain regular interactions with external clients.

• Collaborate with internal departments to evaluate feasibility and fulfill client study-design requirements.

• Provide guidance on study design options and collaborate with the Global Study Manager to pinpoint risks and budget implications.

• Oversee internal study-design processes and communications, which include feasibility requests, material transfer agreements, and supply forecasting.

• Incorporate follow-up actions into databases and global monitoring plans.

• Document and respond to customer study-design requirements.

• Manage fluctuating timelines, conflicting priorities, and a portfolio of global and local studies with diverse complexities.

• Engage in functional meetings and contribute to maintaining up-to-date processes.

• Conduct quality self-reviews and support continuous improvement, quality, and productivity initiatives.

• Adhere to the Central Lab Global Project Management strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science field.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in the clinical research sector or a laboratory setting.

• Proven experience working directly with internal or external clients.

• Strong skills in relationship building and management.

• Knowledge of clinical or preclinical research protocols.

• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in using computer applications, including Windows, Excel, and Word.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in a life science.

• Preferred: 6 or more years of experience in Central Lab Project management.
