This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Employ first principle methodologies and design tools to innovate new aircraft products.
• Take charge of the development of primary and secondary structural components and assemblies (both metallic and composite) from initial design to prototype manufacturing.
• Execute intricate modeling and finite element analysis at the detailed component, major assembly, and aircraft levels, including simulations for strength, buckling, damage tolerance, and delamination.
• Implement design for manufacturing strategies to devise solutions that are cost-effective and conducive to high-rate production.
• Carry out trade studies and conduct design and analysis research on complex engineering concepts to identify the optimal solutions for weight, performance, manufacturability, cost, and/or schedule.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting to address complex, open-ended challenges with a focus on schedule and cost goals.
• Coordinate efforts with mechanical systems, systems integration, aerodynamics, manufacturing, project engineering, and other team members.
• Provide onsite engineering support at manufacturing and integration facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in the aerospace or a related industry.
• Strong technical expertise in core engineering principles, fundamental mechanics of composite materials, design, analysis, testing, and fabrication.
• Profound understanding of load paths, design methodologies, and hand calculations to create structurally efficient and robust assemblies.
• Demonstrated ability to design high-performance structures and oversee their fabrication.

• Capacity to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
