Structural Welder/Fitter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.

📋 Description

• Responsible for planning, laying out, positioning, aligning, and assembling fabricated parts of structural metal products.

• Welds, tacks, and assembles metal components of products such as modules, structural steel, pipe racks, and plate welding using electric arc-welding equipment by executing the following tasks.

• Works at elevated heights while secured, involved in the assembly and disassembly of temporary structures utilized during construction.

• Provides spotting for equipment, rigging, and signaling as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, or ten (10) years of experience as a Structural Welder/Fitter will be accepted.

• At least two (2) years of experience as a Structural Welder/Fitter.

• Must be capable of passing a structural welding test in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

• Familiarity with industrial construction and the characteristics of all equipment and functions related to the role.

• Must provide basic hand tools at the job site. A list of required tools will be provided by NANA Construction at the time of hire as the job requires.

• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years are preferred to qualify under the vehicle insurance policy.
