This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and motivate a skilled, multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering structural engineering designs for utilities and EPC partners.
• Provide strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, and client relationships.
• Guide engineers through intricate building and substation projects.
• Manage resources, performance, and development for an expanding national substation group.
• Review and approve design packages, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical excellence.
• Collaborate with leadership on business development, proposal preparation, and recruitment initiatives.
• Promote a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration, and inclusion throughout the team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering and an active PE license; SE and/or PMP certification is advantageous.
• Over 15 years of experience in structural engineering, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Familiarity with codes and standards (ASCE-7, IBC, ACI, AISC, wood, and masonry).
• Experience in designing structural systems in concrete, steel, and masonry for utilities or buildings.
• Advanced knowledge in structural engineering, developing, and reviewing structural calculations, drawings, and specifications; experience in building and/or high-voltage substation design is a plus.
• Proficient with business and engineering applications.
• Essential knowledge of Microsoft Office and structural calculation software tools such as MathCAD, RISA, Staad.Pro, LPile, MFAD, etc.
• Proficiency in Microstation and/or AutoCAD will make you stand out.
• In-depth knowledge of utility industry standards is advantageous.
