
Structural Engineering Consultant 2 – Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of structural engineers while collaborating with engineers from various disciplines and clients.
• Mentor and guide a structural engineering team on projects related to new nuclear facilities, as well as upgrades or modifications to existing nuclear power plants.
• Utilize expertise in materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams on diverse projects for multiple clients.
• Prepare, review, and offer guidance on design calculations.
• Develop specifications and collaborate with designers in the creation of drawings.
• Prepare, review, or provide direction for the structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
• May require travel to client and vendor locations and plant sites for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification.
• Must not require U.S. work authorization sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a project team member involved in designing and analyzing structures for industrial, heavy commercial, or nuclear facilities.
• Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards including ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience providing on-site construction support is valued, though not required.
