Streaming Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional live audio and video streaming support for collegiate athletic events.

• Collaborate closely with athletic department staff, production teams, internal streaming specialists, and end users.

• Monitor live streams and resolve issues in real time.

• Train clients on streaming tools and the audio/video streaming aspects of the SIDEARM CMS.

• Act as the primary point of contact during live events.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

• Monitor and liaise with SIDEARM partners regarding live-stream quality.

• Assist clients in troubleshooting and resolving streaming issues.

• Provide support to fans encountering difficulties viewing live-streamed content.

• Address fan subscription issues for client schools.

• Assist in overseeing SIDEARM Streaming staff.

• Contribute to the overall success of SIDEARM Sports.

• Work afternoons and evenings, preferably from 3 PM to 11 PM, including evenings and weekends throughout the athletic calendar.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 1 year of experience in video production and/or live streaming.

• Strong client service skills and the ability to cultivate trusted relationships.

• Team-oriented mindset with the capability to lead, support peers, and take responsibility for results.

• Technical proficiency with live streaming tools and workflows.

• Basic knowledge of streaming software and hardware encoders.

• Familiarity with video and audio codecs, frame rates, resolutions, and bitrates.

• Ability to swiftly troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities while upholding a positive, customer-focused demeanor.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical users.

• Comfortable with web-based tools, new technology, and software platforms.

• Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends during the athletic season.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly when monitoring live events and stream quality.

• Preferred: experience in live sports streaming.

• Preferred: familiarity with EOBS, Production Truck, Tricaster, SlingStudio, Wirecast, and Blackmagic capture devices.
