This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create a strategic roadmap for the advancement of SSEG functions to ensure the organization remains future-proof.
• Identify essential capabilities and tools while collaborating with stakeholders to guarantee effective implementation.
• Assess vendor platforms and solutions in relation to capabilities and financial objectives.
• Collaborate with the SSEG leadership team to develop a department scorecard and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Enhance resource utilization, manage internal/external resourcing ratios, and refine vendor strategy.
• Lead the annual planning cycle, which includes AOP planning and budget monitoring.
• Manage strategic projects, taking ownership of dashboards, timelines, and overall project management.
• Act as a strategic ally to the Head of SSEG by identifying critical risks and opportunities.
• Supervise the flow of information and key decisions within SSEG and across various functions.
• Organize strategic meetings and communications, including presentations and memos for enterprise leaders.
• Oversee 1–2 direct reports, which may include full-time employees (FTEs) and vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/MBA/PhD preferred.
• At least 7 years of senior leadership and project management experience.
• Leadership experience in a data analytics organization is advantageous.
• Exceptional written and verbal storytelling and communication skills, especially for executive-level strategic communications.
• Data- and metrics-oriented, with the capability to develop rigorous KPIs and possess strong data analysis and budget management skills.
• Ability to lead and influence within a matrix and build robust internal/external networks.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Up-to-date knowledge of AI tools to enhance efficiency.
• Familiarity with analytics technologies, including Power BI, SAS, R, and Shiny.
• Understanding of clinical trial data and associated processes.
• Capability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team decisively in solving complex issues.
• Strong leadership and influence skills to guide without formal authority across multiple business levels.
• Ability to develop effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience in defining, documenting, and developing business processes in a pharmaceutical or similarly regulated setting.
• PMP/Scrum Master or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
