Strategy Execution & Delivery Effectiveness Lead

📋 Description

• Oversee portfolio planning, execution, and delivery across cloud, network, compute, storage, middleware, DevOps, observability, and security infrastructure platforms.

• Develop execution strategies, delivery frameworks, and operational rhythms to ensure predictability, quality, and realization of value.

• Manage commitments, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes related to portfolio delivery.

• Convert enterprise and technology strategies into actionable execution plans and roadmaps.

• Define and enhance delivery governance, metrics, and decision-making frameworks.

• Strengthen alignment between infrastructure delivery, application teams, and partners.

• Lead intricate technical delivery initiatives across infrastructure and platform domains.

• Collaborate with architecture and engineering leaders to confirm feasibility, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Ensure that infrastructure solutions adhere to standards of resilience, scalability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Create slide decks, narratives, dashboards, and briefing materials suitable for executive audiences.

• Simplify complex technical and delivery information into persuasive decision-support narratives.

• Present information regarding portfolio health, strategic trade-offs, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership, executive committees, and board-level audiences.

• Set standards for portfolio reporting, reviews, and executive updates.

• Identify and mitigate delivery, operational, and technical risks.

• Lead incident insights, retrospectives, and projects focused on continuous improvement.

• Guide change management and release planning for infrastructure platforms.

• Ensure adherence to enterprise controls, security, and regulatory requirements.

• Direct senior delivery leaders, program managers, and execution teams.

• Provide counsel to executive partners regarding delivery health, trade-offs, and outcomes.

• Promote accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement across technology and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology delivery, infrastructure, or platform engineering.

• 5+ years in senior leadership positions.

• Proven experience leading extensive infrastructure portfolios in enterprise settings.

• Experience in aligning execution strategies with enterprise technology transformation initiatives.

• Familiarity with back-end systems and infrastructure platforms.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Understanding of compute, storage, and network infrastructure.

• Knowledge of middleware, databases, and integration platforms.

• Proficiency in DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and observability.

• Awareness of security, resiliency, and disaster recovery principles.

• Ability to manage intricate technical plans alongside engineering and architecture teams.

• Skill in crafting executive-level presentations and written documentation.

• Capability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.

• Expertise in distilling complex messages, constructing engaging narratives, and delivering impactful storytelling.

• Experience leading in high-scale, high-ambiguity environments.

• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models at scale.

• Background in platform transformation, cloud modernization, or infrastructure simplification initiatives.
