Strategic Sourcing Specialist, IT

📋 Description

• Take ownership of designated Professional Services and IT expenditure categories (such as Consulting, SaaS, Cloud/Infrastructure, End-User Devices, Managed Services);

• Manage the complete RFI/RFP/RFQ processes (including requirements gathering, scoring, supplier Q&A, demonstrations, and commercial analysis), and select vendors;

• Lead negotiations on commercial and contractual terms (covering pricing, rate cards, milestones, SLAs, service credits, EULA terms, data privacy, security provisions, and renewals);

• Collaborate with Legal, InfoSec, and Privacy teams to finalize MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, SLAs, and ensure adherence to compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA where applicable);

• Achieve quantifiable savings, cost avoidance, and enhanced total cost of ownership; validate and document benefits with the Finance team (utilizing should-cost models, benchmarking, and clean-sheeting as necessary);

• Conduct vendor due diligence, maintain performance scorecards, oversee QBRs, and implement corrective action plans; facilitate swift supplier onboarding;

• Streamline licenses, optimize entitlements, minimize shelf-ware; enhance term lengths, uplift caps, and manage renewal timelines;

• Convert business requirements into sourcing strategies; lead decision-making meetings; provide comprehensive market intelligence and evaluate options;

• Maintain a sourcing pipeline, dashboards, and contract databases; ensure accurate data for auditing and reporting purposes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in IT sourcing and Professional Services sourcing, showcasing strong category management capabilities;

• Proven track record in managing competitive events and negotiating intricate IT contracts (including SaaS, cloud/IaaS, software licenses, managed services, and hardware);

• Solid understanding of contract structures (MSA/SOW, SLAs/service credits, termination clauses, indemnities, liability caps, auditing, data privacy/security, and intellectual property);

• Comfortable conducting supplier risk and compliance evaluations in collaboration with Legal, InfoSec, and Privacy teams;

• Proficient in data analysis: pricing evaluation, total cost of ownership assessment, scenario modeling, and tracking savings/benefits.
