Strategic Sourcing Manager – Professional Services

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business leaders throughout the organization to comprehend their needs and convert them into effective sourcing strategies and negotiation plans.

• Oversee and conduct comprehensive sourcing activities, including opportunity assessments, RFPs, supplier selection, and intricate contract negotiations.

• Evaluate spend data and market trends to uncover opportunities for savings, innovation, and risk mitigation within Professional Services and related categories.

• Utilize AI tools and automation to enhance data analysis, supplier management, and contract workflows.

• Recognize and execute continuous improvement initiatives that simplify sourcing processes and drive measurable efficiency enhancements.

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure consistent value delivery, quality of service, and alignment with Airbnb’s diversity and sustainability goals.

• Work collaboratively with Legal, Finance, and Vendor Management to establish clear commercial terms, guarantee compliance, and facilitate sound financial results.

• Act as a strategic partner to stakeholders, providing insights into supplier capabilities, market dynamics, and cost optimization strategies.

• Influence vendors and internal partners to promote innovation, continuous improvement, and long-term value creation while leading complex negotiations and contracts that mitigate risk, enhance accountability, and maximize total cost of ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of procurement or industry experience, preferably managing indirect spend in Professional Services.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex sourcing and negotiation initiatives that yield measurable savings and value.

• Experience in applying AI or data-driven methods to simplify procurement processes or optimize workflows.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities with the capacity to influence senior leadership.

• In-depth understanding of supplier management, risk mitigation, and contract governance.

• Occasional travel may be necessary (<10%).
