This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Provide leadership and guidance throughout program operations to support SAMHSA's 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Awareness initiative.
• Collaborate closely with SAMHSA's 988 Communications Team, the Program Manager, and key internal stakeholders.
• Spearhead the creation and execution of strategic and operational plans that enhance the program's communications, marketing, and engagement initiatives.
• Convert high-level priorities and campaign goals into coordinated, actionable work plans.
• Ensure that logistics, timelines, and team activities are systematically organized and aligned with SAMHSA's mission to boost awareness and usage of 988 among individuals at risk for suicide or substance misuse.
• Develop and sustain integrated work plans across various task areas such as paid media campaign planning, organic digital and social media strategy, partner engagement, event organization, and performance metrics reporting.
• Collaborate with logistics coordinators and subject matter experts to ensure that activities are effectively sequenced and executed on schedule, while keeping track of dependencies, risks, and forthcoming milestones.
• Assist in the formulation of campaign strategies, contribute to meeting agendas and planning documents, and provide operational planning support to guide priority digital and communications actions.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, marketing, public administration, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in providing strategic direction and guidance for program, task, or event operations within complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement integrated work plans in close partnership with government clients or senior stakeholders.
• Experience in collaborating with logistics coordinators and cross-functional team members to develop and execute operational plans timely and within scope.
• Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple concurrent workstreams, tracking dependencies, and anticipating and mitigating risks.
• Experience in supporting communications, marketing, or public health programs, including planning activities across paid media, digital, social media, and/or event workstreams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparing planning documents, meeting agendas, status reports, and briefing materials for government or senior-level stakeholders.
• Capability to adapt plans and priorities swiftly in response to changing program needs or client directives.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust security clearance (Tier II).
