This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Assist the regional manager in overseeing daily operations, strategic initiatives, and decision-making throughout the region.

• Spearhead significant cross-functional strategic projects aimed at enhancing regional growth, efficiency, and scalability.

• Cultivate relationships with external partners, including acquirers, banks, regulators, and other stakeholders.

• Evaluate market dynamics, pinpoint growth opportunities, and work alongside Product, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to develop country strategies.

• Support crucial merchant relationships and uncover expansion possibilities.

• Enhance the merchant onboarding process and minimize time-to-revenue.

• Facilitate new merchant onboarding while ensuring compliance with regulatory, operational, and legal requirements.

• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams on licenses, tax obligations, AML, and KYC requirements.

• Establish frameworks for transaction monitoring and fraud prevention.

• Keep track of tax regulations and liaise with tax advisors.

• Analyze performance metrics for countries, including TPV, revenue targets, budget execution, and growth pipelines.

• Work with Finance and FP&A to ensure budget accuracy and alignment with regional growth targets.

• Devise turnaround strategies for underperforming segments or countries.

• Address merchant activation issues and processing go-live delays.

• Manage preparation for regional internal audits and subsequent follow-ups.

• Create operational playbooks, frameworks, and scalable best practices.

• Develop business cases and recommendations for market entries, partnerships, and product launches.

• Engage in regulatory meetings and industry forums.

• Represent dLocal's culture and values both internally and externally.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in operations management, strategy, or a similar role.

• Background in the payments, fintech, and digital banking sectors.

• Understanding of Legal, Finance, Product, and IT functions.

• Demonstrated capability to manage large-scale projects and achieve results in a fast-paced setting.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Skilled in project management software such as Asana or Trello.

• Experienced with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

• Capable of collaborating across time zones with global teams.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Willingness to travel.

• Ability to build a relevant business network.
