This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Assist private equity-backed portfolio companies by executing strategic FP&A initiatives.
• Enable proactive decision-making through the use of forecasting models.
• Create value through data and analytics during transactions and transitions.
• Develop essential financial and operational reporting alongside strategic analyses.
• Design and implement effective reporting and forecasting models and analyses.
• Collaborate with company management, including C-suite executives, as well as private equity deal and operational teams.
• Plan, manage, and carry out client engagements effectively.
• Create and execute actionable plans to meet expectations.
• Consistently communicate results to key stakeholders and the Project Lead.
• Execute budgeting and forecasting tasks.
• Conduct financial and operational reporting.
• Perform profitability analysis.
• Develop efficient business processes.
• Manage and analyze data.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
• Proficient in applicable technologies.
• Willingness to travel based on client and business requirements.
• 1–3 years of experience in consulting/advisory with a focus on finance effectiveness, strategy and operations, analytics, performance improvement, or technology, or corporate FP&A or Sales/Ops Finance Analyst experience.
• Intermediate understanding of BI tools or data analytics.
• Solid knowledge of finance/accounting principles, including the mechanics of financial statements.
• Ability to present and support finance concepts, including financial statement analysis, financial ratio application, and budgeting/forecasting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong business acumen.
