Strategic Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the organization's financial planning activities, which encompass long-term strategic development, annual budgeting, and monthly reforecasting.

• Take ownership of and consistently improve financial models related to revenue, cash flow, and operating expenses.

• Collaborate with business leaders in Sales, R&D, and G&A to deliver actionable insights that promote growth and enhance margins.

• Prepare and present analyses for executives, investors, and the Board of Directors.

• Conduct analysis of SaaS metrics and unit economics, focusing on ARR growth, retention, and sales efficiency.

• Assist in planning the capital structure and performing scenario modeling.

• Oversee the FP&A team’s involvement in the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate reporting and prompt variance analysis.

• Advocate for process enhancements, automation, and system upgrades to boost FP&A efficiency and scalability.

• Perform ad hoc financial analyses, including unit economics, pricing strategies, cash conversion, public company benchmarking, and capital structure alternatives.

• Work in tandem with cross-functional teams to collect relevant data and insights for financial assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance, particularly within the SaaS sector.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, capable of constructing and troubleshooting complex, efficient models with minimal guidance.

• In-depth understanding of SaaS metrics and their drivers.

• Strong familiarity with financial statements and GAAP principles.

• Excellent executive presence, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

• A proactive and strategic thinker who can balance attention to detail with a comprehensive business perspective.

• Proficient in financial systems, including ERPs (Sage Intacct), CRMs (Salesforce), and planning & budgeting software (Planful).

• Expertise in data and analytics, including the ability to execute SQL queries and create customized visualizations in tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and others.
