This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Take charge of comprehensive accounting tasks for various client entities.
• Oversee general ledger functions, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing procedures.
• Supervise bill payments, approvals, audit trails, and cash management operations.
• Keep track of cash flow, liquidity, and banking activities.
• Ensure precise financial records are maintained using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Intacct.
• Create and present client-ready financial reporting packages, which include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, net worth statements, and cash flow reports.
• Conduct variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and previous performances.
• Guarantee that reporting is precise, reconciled, and ready for decision-making.
• Convert financial reporting into actionable insights that aid in business and personal financial choices.
• Clearly communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Interpret financial data into significant recommendations and strategic insights.
• Facilitate financial planning discussions concerning liquidity, spending efficiency, and major financial choices.
• Develop scenario models to assess investments, real estate decisions, hiring strategies, and other key initiatives.
• Proactively identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
• Assist clients in making informed choices through thorough financial analysis.
• Collaborate with CPAs, legal advisors, payroll providers, and other external partners.
• Aid in tax planning processes by preparing necessary financial information and documentation.
• Uphold strong financial governance, controls, and documentation practices.
• Monitor for unusual financial activities and promptly escalate potential issues.
• Ensure smooth financial operations across various entities and stakeholders.
• Assess and implement enhancements to financial systems and reporting workflows.
• Support initiatives for automation and dashboards that enhance financial visibility.
• Fortify financial controls, documentation, and readiness for audits.
• Spot opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and the quality of reporting.
• Contribute to the development of scalable financial processes that facilitate long-term growth.
• 5–10+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, family office settings, public accounting, corporate finance, or related finance leadership positions.
• Strong background in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial controls across multiple entities.
• Proven experience in constructing financial models, scenario analyses, forecasts, and decision-support tools that impact business results.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Intacct, and advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• Exceptional ability to convey financial information clearly and confidently to clients and senior stakeholders, simplifying complex financial concepts into actionable recommendations.
• Outstanding financial analysis, commercial judgment, and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive stance on identifying risks and opportunities.
• Capability to independently manage intricate financial responsibilities while balancing execution with strategic advisory roles.
• CPA (or an equivalent professional accounting qualification) is strongly preferred.
