This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to scripted benefit verification in the HIS benefits interface.
• Maintain accounts in the workflow system with prompt and precise documentation.
• Choose correct medical records to ensure patient safety and schedule necessary procedures as per physician directives.
• Accurately assign insurance plans and execute electronic eligibility checks; record results in the designated systems.
• Calculate patient financial responsibility and make collection attempts via phone within 48 hours of service date.
• Utilize relevant systems to enhance communication with hospital gatekeepers and document account activities and collection notes as needed.
• Exhibit curiosity and a willingness to embrace innovation, including AI, to discover improved processes and reduce friction, thereby enhancing patient and client experiences.
• High School Diploma is mandatory; an Associate’s degree is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with admissions, billing, payments, and denials.
• In-depth understanding of the patient insurance process, including authorization acquisition and benefits verification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology as well as CPT and procedure codes.
• Experience in Patient Access with managed care/insurance and call center environments is highly preferred.
• Must be articulate, personable, reliable, and confident, possessing excellent communication skills.
