Strategic Finance Business Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Site-level performance: collaborate with our state General Manager teams to take ownership of site-level forecasts, allowing the company to make decisions rooted in our financial realities and strategic objectives.

• Real Estate: work alongside the Real Estate team to enhance the completeness and accuracy of our pro-forma modeling, returns forecasting, and project-level budget versus actual analyses.

• Business partnership: engage with cross-functional teams on various operational decisions by providing insights, analysis, and historical financial data to guide their choices. You may find yourself forecasting headcount one moment and budgeting paid marketing expenses the next.

• Financial operations: team up with our Controller to ensure that forward-looking projections align seamlessly with actuals from our accounting system.

• Reporting: assist with our Monthly Business Review process and take charge of delivering management financial reports, both programmatic and ad hoc.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in corporate finance, including expertise in financial modeling and reporting; experience in finance business partnership is advantageous.

• This role encompasses real estate, capital planning, business partnership, and corporate finance - you should have substantial experience in at least one area and a desire to become proficient in the others.

• AI-forward: it's been a while since you created a model without using tools like Claude or Codex. You prefer to build from scratch only when necessary.

• Resilient: as a startup operating in a complex problem space, you'll need a builder mindset, a bias towards enabling others, and a willingness to learn new concepts.

• You present a diplomatic and trustworthy demeanor in your interactions; you can adjust your communication style for varying considerations and levels of financial expertise.

• Financial acumen: you will be expected to clarify both major and minor decisions, relying on a balanced mix of thorough analysis and financial intuition.
