Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of financial models, operating plans, and scenario analyses.

• Collaborate with teams on headcount planning, budgeting, and evaluating investment tradeoffs.

• Monitor revenue, costs, and margin drivers while identifying any significant changes.

• Develop and sustain internal dashboards and reporting systems.

• Assist with pricing strategies, forecasting, and communications with the board/investors.

• Introduce financial discipline to product, go-to-market, and operational strategies.

• Spearhead strategic initiatives and special projects, including marketing ROI assessments and vendor negotiations.

• Identify areas that lack transparency and implement structured solutions.

• Establish the strategy and operational frameworks for the strategic finance function as the sole in-house finance team member.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in strategic finance, private equity, investment banking, or early-stage operational roles, or possess a CFA.

• Proven history of closely collaborating with leadership to enhance financial clarity and decision-making.

• Experience in building and maintaining operating models for practical planning, preferably in SaaS or B2B startup environments.

• Experience in owning or directly contributing to board reporting, headcount planning, or annual planning cycles.

• Proficiency in modeling ARR, CAC, burn ratios, and other SaaS metrics.

• Experience in designing internal reporting systems, dashboards, or planning routines.

• Competence in pressure-testing investments, conducting scenario analyses, or enhancing unit economics.

• Strong financial instincts with the ability to excel in ambiguous situations.

• Capability to influence decision-making across various functions.

• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and its transformative potential.

• Ability to convert complex financial analysis into clear, actionable insights.
