This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide focused leadership and coordination for incident, media, regulatory, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure that all high-risk situations are addressed with promptness, clarity, and control.
• Direct the creation of consistent communications that safeguard the organisation’s reputation.
• Develop clear, timely, and uniform messaging for both internal and external audiences.
• Ensure that all communications are aligned, accurate, and effectively risk-managed.
• Assist operational teams during live incidents.
• Oversee communications support for Taskforce (Lanark) activities and related developments.
• Coordinate messaging among various stakeholders.
• Aid in managing sensitive and high-profile issues.
• Contribute to the protection of the organisation’s reputation during periods of scrutiny.
• Enhance processes for incident communications.
• Maintain clear records and oversight of communication activities.
• Identify opportunities to enhance communication frameworks.
• Serve as a key point of ownership for reactive communications activities.
• Extensive experience in crisis, incident, or corporate communications.
• Proven track record of managing high-risk, fast-paced issues.
• Experience in handling media inquiries and developing external messaging.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisive decisions under pressure.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at a senior level.
• High levels of judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
• Experience in a regulated or high-scrutiny environment (desirable).
• Experience in managing communications during reputational or safeguarding-related issues (desirable).
• Understanding of multi-site operational organizations (desirable).
