Strategic Bid Manager, Municipal Markets – Water Treatment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of municipal bids, RFQs, RFPs, and contract renewals for water and wastewater chemicals.

• Assess bid requirements, specifications, and commercial terms to evaluate bid viability and associated risks.

• Create bid schedules and ensure that all submissions adhere to municipal deadlines and compliance standards.

• Compile thorough, accurate, and competitive bid packages, which include pricing, technical documentation, and contractual responses.

• Collaborate with Pricing and Finance teams to formulate competitive and profitable pricing strategies.

• Coordinate contributions from Sales, Technical Service, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Legal, and Operations departments.

• Ensure that bids align with municipal procurement regulations, contract terminology, and regulatory standards.

• Monitor awarded contracts, pricing frameworks, escalation clauses, and renewal timelines.

• Keep abreast of municipal bidding trends, competitor actions, and market conditions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.

• 3–5+ years of experience in managing bids, proposals, or contracts—ideally within the municipal, water/wastewater, or industrial chemicals sectors.

• Strong comprehension of municipal procurement procedures and public-sector bidding practices.

• Demonstrated capability to handle multiple bids simultaneously under stringent deadlines.

• Excellent attention to detail coupled with robust analytical and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with CRM and bid management systems is an advantage.
