This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Drive Regional Sales Impact: Achieve and surpass sales targets by engaging with high-value gastroenterology (GI) customers throughout the region, in collaboration with Territory Sales Representatives.
• Deepen Clinical Expertise: Maintain advanced knowledge of products and disease states to facilitate in-depth, clinically focused interactions with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and office staff—effectively introducing new treatment options and addressing clinical inquiries or objections.
• Expand Market Influence: Analyze and interpret regional market dynamics, access opportunities, and competitive trends; enhance pull-through by aligning strategies with Territory Sales Representatives and office personnel.
• Collaborate in Overlay Model: Work alongside multiple Territory Sales Representatives to improve customer coverage, broaden prescribing depth, and ensure coordinated execution in key accounts.
• Lead Training & Development: Act as a Regional Trainer by supporting onboarding of new hires, facilitating skill enhancement in the field, and leading workshops and capability sessions at both regional and national meetings.
• Advance Business Planning: Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager to contribute to strategic business planning across the region, ensuring that overlay priorities align with territory and regional objectives.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Marketing, Training, Sales Operations, and other commercial teams to promote operational excellence and share best practices.
• Execute with Discipline: Complete all administrative and operational duties, including effective utilization of CRM systems, managing expenses, and adhering to all company and regulatory standards.
• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Industry Experience: At least 5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience for external candidates. Internal candidates with a proven history of outstanding performance may be considered with fewer years of experience.
• Track Record of Excellence: Consistent achievement of sales objectives with formal recognition (e.g., top rankings, awards, President’s Club, or equivalent).
• Product Launch Expertise: Proven success in launching new products and driving adoption in competitive markets.
• Business Acumen: Advanced analytical abilities and business acumen with the capability to interpret market dynamics, identify opportunities, and apply insights to strategic planning.
• Customer Engagement Mastery: Proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and key office staff in both live and virtual environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong computer and digital skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), Veeva Engage, Teams, Zoom, and other relevant platforms.
• Adaptability: Capability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple demands.
• Travel: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Willingness to travel extensively across the region, including overnight trips, and attend national, regional, and corporate meetings as required.
• Strongly Preferred Qualifications
• Overlay & Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to thrive in an overlay model—partnering with multiple sales representatives to implement coordinated strategies and achieve measurable impact.
• Training & Development: Experience as a peer mentor, field trainer, or facilitator in workshops or meetings; strong facilitation and presentation abilities.
• GI Specialty Experience: Previous experience in gastroenterology or other specialized therapeutic areas.
