
Strategic Account Manager – Provider Networks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Build and oversee strategic partnerships with IPAs, medical groups, MSOs, hospitals, and other delegated provider networks and risk-bearing organizations within the designated territory.
• Discover and implement opportunities to enhance access to the Company’s specialty pharmacy and infusion services through collaborations with providers and network expansion.
• Act as the main point of contact for provider leadership, administrators, and key decision-makers, influencing referral pathways and the adoption of programs.
• Collaborate with Payor Relations and internal leadership to aid and shape provider contracting strategies, engaging in discussions with IPAs and medical groups to enhance access and alignment.
• Ensure effective execution of provider agreements, promoting adoption and ongoing performance in line with partnership goals.
• Inform provider leadership and care teams about the Company’s services, patient support programs, and clinical capabilities.
• Work alongside field sales, clinical, and operational teams to guarantee coordinated outreach, account engagement, and patient accessibility.
• Track referral trends, market dynamics, and competitive actions within IPA and medical group networks, and implement plans to boost performance.
• Relay market insights, provider feedback, and growth opportunities to leadership to guide strategic planning.
• Participate in regional provider meetings, healthcare forums, and professional organizations to enhance market presence and relationships.
• Develop a strategic territory plan centered on high-value provider networks and growth opportunities.
• Promote measurable referral growth and utilization through targeted pull-through strategies within both contracted and non-contracted provider networks.
• Generate new accounts and nurture existing ones by organizing and planning daily work schedules to engage with current or potential referral sources or customers.
• Identify opportunities to reconnect with inactive referral sources and broaden partnerships with new provider networks.
• Assist internal initiatives aimed at boosting provider engagement, access, and operational efficiency.
• Keep precise records of provider interactions, contracting activities, and performance metrics in the Company’s CRM or field automation system.
• Provide regular updates on partnership activities, referral growth, and territory performance.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of specialty pharmacy services, infusion therapies, and the evolving healthcare market landscape.
• Evaluate market conditions, referral trends, and business performance to pinpoint growth opportunities and refine strategy.
• Serve as an internal resource to assist cross-functional teams in grasping healthcare payment models and provider network structures.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry in provider relations, healthcare sales, network development, or market access roles.
• Strong grasp of healthcare delivery models, including the Knox-Keene Health Care Service Plan Act of 1975.
• Familiarity with risk-based payment models (e.g., shared savings, downside risk) and provider structures such as IPAs, ACOs, MSOs, and physician-hospital organizations.
• Working knowledge of key regulatory and operational concepts including delegation, Restricted Knox-Keene (RKK), and Division of Financial Responsibility (DOFR).
• Experience with IPAs, medical groups, MSOs, or delegated provider networks is strongly preferred.
• Experience in supporting or engaging in provider contracting, network development, or partnership agreements.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy, infusion services, or a closely related healthcare delivery model is strongly preferred.
