
Strategic Account Manager – Breed Associations

• Formulate and execute strategic account plans that align with annual sales targets and growth objectives.
• Oversee the implementation and yearly renewal of Genomic Testing Service Agreements (GTSA) with breed associations.
• Provide quarterly business updates encompassing revenue, volume, forecasts, market share analysis, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities or risks.
• Organize and conduct at least two in-person meetings annually with each top-tier account, including leadership and stakeholders from associations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Customer Service) to ensure alignment on account strategies, volume forecasts, and new initiatives.
• Manage and facilitate the launch of new programs, pricing structures, and research applications customized to meet the needs of each breed association.
• Maintain continuous communication with key accounts through regular virtual meetings and calls.
• Attend and engage in Board of Directors meetings and other events to cultivate long-term strategic relationships.
• Plan and assist with training events, educational sessions, and the implementation of genomic technologies.
• Work closely with Marketing to coordinate breed association events, sponsorships, and promotional activities.
• Act as a source for market insights and competitive intelligence to inform new product development.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Animal Science, Agriculture, Biology, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in genomic sales and program implementation within large organizations.
• Previous experience working directly with the agricultural sector and board-governed organizations.
• Strong account management abilities, particularly with large and complex stakeholders.
• Proven success in developing and executing strategic initiatives.
• Proficient in Salesforce, LIMS, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities at once.
• Must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel internationally (primarily to Canada).
