This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and implement a robust business plan tailored for each client.
• Identify both formal and informal decision-makers; create a strategy that aligns with the client's product, clinical, service, and financial requirements.
• The Strategic Account Executive should be capable of working independently while exercising sound judgement in client interactions.
• Create impactful presentations, proposals, and communications.
• Showcase an understanding of various aspects of the PBM business, including contracting and underwriting.
• Stay informed about the health plan industry, particularly in pharmacy benefit management.
• Maintain a customer and market-centric focus.
• Convert marketplace insights into terminology and context that resonates with the client.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, delivering value after thoroughly researching the customer.
• Take ownership of the client relationship, responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collaborate with internal partners to develop and implement strategic solutions.
• Proactively seek new partnership opportunities.
• Engage in the bid/renewal process, including the preparation and presentation for both current and prospective clients.
• Make informed business decisions and recommendations based on a thoughtful analysis of facts, experience, intuition, and the implications for the client.
• Foster a positive team dynamic by effectively collaborating with team members, leveraging their talents, and appropriately delegating tasks and projects.
• Monitor client costs and trends.
• Ensure timely resolution of client issues.
• Manage the onboarding process for new clients.
• Conduct Quarterly Performance Reviews with clients.
• Guarantee client retention and renewal.
• Perform other assigned tasks or special projects as directed by management.
• An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Proven experience in Account Management and PBM is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years in a similar or related industry role is necessary.
• A comprehensive understanding of the PBM landscape and the broader healthcare system is required.
• Ability to manage client expectations in line with company capabilities.
• Proficient in interfacing with customers, peers, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
• Responsible for both individual and team initiatives aimed at servicing the client.
• Capacity to analyze issues from various perspectives while anticipating future challenges and making recommendations that benefit both the client and the company.
• Effective communication skills in high-stakes situations.
• Ability to convey technical information in a formal training setting.
• Identify growth opportunities with clients; manage profit/loss for assigned accounts; accountable for personal and team objectives.
• Strong track record of managing a large portfolio of business accounts.
