This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to become a part of our Strategic New Business team, dedicated to acquiring new Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 employers that have yet to partner with Handshake.
• This position is designed for a hunter, ideal for a sales professional who excels in high-visibility deal cycles, generates pipeline through proactive outreach, and successfully closes complex six-figure partnerships with senior HR and business leaders.
• You will take over a defined portfolio of accounts and manage the entire sales cycle from account planning and initial meetings to executive alignment, negotiation, and closing.
• You will work with a high degree of autonomy and minimal support, and you will be expected to travel, host customers, and excel in person.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in SaaS sales, with at least 2 years focused on enterprise or strategic customers.
• A proven history of acquiring net new logos and consistently meeting quotas (experience in President’s Club is strongly preferred).
• Experience in closing complex six-figure deals involving multiple stakeholders and extended sales cycles.
• Proficient outbound and account planning capabilities, with the ability to manage a defined book and proactively build pipeline.
• Capability to lead conversations at the executive level, articulate value propositions, and execute a disciplined sales process from start to finish.
• High ownership mentality and resourcefulness, comfortable creating your own materials and conducting demos independently without extensive support.
• Strong deal management and forecasting discipline across monthly and quarterly cycles.
• Willingness to travel frequently and participate in face-to-face selling, customer events, and relationship-building activities.
