
Strategic Account Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Develop and oversee a strategic pipeline of K-12 district opportunities within a designated portfolio.
β’ Conduct discovery, qualification, and consultative sales discussions with district stakeholders, including technology, curriculum, finance, and executive leadership.
β’ Present Cleverβs platform and solutions in areas such as identity, security, access, interoperability, MFA, IDM, and other district priorities.
β’ Formulate and implement account strategies that advance opportunities through the sales cycle with defined next steps, stakeholder alignment, and robust forecasting discipline.
β’ Collaborate closely with School Success to identify opportunities for expansion, cross-selling, and long-term growth within district relationships.
β’ Work in partnership with Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Revenue Operations to support strategic initiatives and enhance sales execution.
β’ Keep an accurate record of pipeline, forecasting, and opportunities in Salesforce.
β’ Represent Clever in a professional manner during customer meetings, conferences, webinars, and strategic discussions with districts.
β’ Proven experience in selling SaaS, technology, or educational solutions to K-12 districts or similarly intricate public-sector environments.
β’ Exceptional consultative selling abilities, including discovery, stakeholder mapping, executive engagement, and value-based positioning.
β’ Capability to navigate complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers and procurement processes.
β’ Strong business acumen, pipeline discipline, and confidence in managing revenue targets.
β’ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical value in terms of customer outcomes.
β’ A collaborative mindset with a successful history of working effectively across Sales, Success, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams.
β’ High levels of ownership, resilience, curiosity, and a customer-centric approach.
β’ Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time during peak sales and conference periods, including occasional weekends.
