Storyboard/Animatics Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with the Director and Writing team to establish the desired aesthetic for the storyboard.

• Meeting regularly with the Supervisor, Director, Producer, Editor, and fellow Storyboard Artists to comprehensively review, discuss, implement, and revise storyboards.

• Reading and interpreting the script effectively.

• Identifying key scenes and strategizing their visual representation.

• Converting scenes from the script into a storyboard featuring image panels.

• Exploring and proposing diverse concepts, themes, moods, and environments for the storyboard.

• Creating sequential sketches of pivotal scenes while ensuring continuity.

• Adding text to provide technical guidance to the animators.

• Integrating special effects into the storyboard panels.

• Briefing the animation team on significant scenes within the storyboard.

• Editing and modifying storyboard scenes throughout the production process.

• Collaborating closely with the Animation team.

• Accountable for delivering all materials punctually and in accordance with the production timeline.

• Highly skilled Senior Storyboard Artist.

• Exceptional drawing abilities and understanding of anatomy.

• Strong skills in figurative and perspective draftsmanship.

• Capability to draw characters accurately in a 3D context.

• Ability to produce polished storyboards with a focus on clarity and entertainment value.

• Openness to feedback and making necessary adjustments.

• Proficiency in timing, screen direction, continuity, and cinematic language.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to provide clear and specific instructions on storyboards when necessary.

• Excellent time-management skills and ability to adhere to deadlines.
