Freelance 2D Line Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Produce clean and refined line art for characters, props, and backgrounds based on thumbnails supplied by the Art Director.

• Ensure accurate proportions, designs, and visual consistency across all illustrations by utilizing existing model sheets.

• Maintain the original artistic vision and layout of the initial thumbnails.

• Prepare tidy, organized, and appropriately structured files to facilitate a smooth transition to the coloring phase.

• Efficiently incorporate feedback from the Art Director to align with project standards.

• Create thumbnails and composition suggestions to support the art direction team when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding drawing and construction abilities for characters, props, and environments.

• Demonstrated capacity to adhere to specified visual styles, interpret rough sketches, and convert them into polished artwork.

• Strong understanding of perspective; proficiency in using 3D blocking for environment layouts is highly regarded.

• Advanced, professional expertise in Adobe Photoshop.

• Excellent communication skills with an open attitude towards constructive criticism.

• Ability to smoothly integrate into an established studio production pipeline.

• Professional working proficiency in both written and spoken English.
