Stormwater Construction Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and adjust extensive cost estimates and bid packages for a range of stormwater-related construction initiatives.

• Oversee and nurture a team of estimators engaged in stormwater construction bid submissions.

• Assess deficiencies noted by Apex staff to identify proposal opportunities.

• Adhere to client timelines for proposal preparation and submission.

• Collaborate closely with a growth team to develop new client engagements.

• Liaise with regulatory bodies to address issues related to violations.

• Establish material pricing databases for bidding purposes.

• Generate bid takeoffs to ascertain quantities for bidding.

• Occasional travel (5 -10%) may be required for project reviews or continuing education pursuits.

• Contribute to a culture that prioritizes safe work practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

• A minimum of 4 years experience as an Estimator in construction, stormwater, utilities, erosion control, and/or excavation & grading projects.

• Exhibits a strong understanding of construction processes, including knowledge of materials and quantity estimation.

• Experience with estimating software is preferred.

• Capable of interpreting site plans and efficiently developing cost estimates.

• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

• Functions well in a team setting and possesses exceptional communication skills.

• Hands-on management and execution of diverse stormwater and related projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with schedules and budgets.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.

• Highly organized, self-driven, quick learner, able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working under deadlines.

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

• Experience with Deltek Vision is highly preferred.
