Storefront Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Analyze and interpret architectural drawings, project specifications, and RFI's.

• Create and document RFI's and correspondence with the general contractor to clarify the scope of work.

• Utilize Glazier Studio or other estimating software for material takeoffs and labor assessments.

• Request and assess supplier quotes to guarantee competitive pricing.

• Work collaboratively with project managers and the sales team to formulate effective bid strategies.

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and proposals for commercial storefront, curtain wall, and glazing projects.

• Oversee and manage multiple bids concurrently while adhering to strict deadlines.

• Maintain and refresh estimating databases, cost histories, and bid logs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating within the commercial glazing sector.

• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

• Knowledge of storefront systems, door hardware, glass railing systems, interior partitions, glass, louvers, mirrors, fire-rated systems, and multislide/bifolding doors.

• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities with keen attention to detail.

• Experience with estimating software as well as Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Outstanding communication and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
