This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the sales of storage products and solutions within designated territories, industries, or accounts.

• Utilizes advanced storage knowledge to identify new customer value opportunities by expanding and enhancing existing prospects.

• Develops and manages the storage sales pipeline.

• Captures leads beyond specialization and implements closed-loop lead management to ensure proper assignment and follow-up by team members.

• Works in collaboration with account pursuit teams to leverage their expertise in solutions for business development.

• Enhances sales readiness and minimizes the client learning curve through effective knowledge transfer in storage.

• Aids in the formulation of quota objectives and future strategies for storage product lines.

• Directs and coordinates supporting sales activities related to pipeline management via account managers, Presales, channel partners, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Efficiently employs internal sales tools to maintain a healthy pipeline and account plan promptly.

• Collaborates with HPE teams to ensure a cohesive approach to business development, including comprehensive account planning for end-to-end solutions.

• Evaluates solution feasibility from both technical and business perspectives to determine "qualify-in"/"qualify-out" status.

• Negotiates and drives profitable deals to ensure successful closure and a high win rate.

• Leads sales efforts for the storage portfolio, utilizing strong leadership skills and initiative to effectively prospect, negotiate, and close deals.

• Establishes a professional and consultative rapport with clients by gaining an advanced understanding of their unique business needs within the industry.

• Engages with clients, including C-level executives, for mid-to-large accounts.

• Leverages extensive knowledge of competitors and industry trends to strategically position the company's products and services.

• Focuses on building relationships with the channel to provide key technology enablement and co-sell to end-users.

• Effectively leads, promotes, and coordinates Storage marketing campaigns (digital/new techniques) to ensure successful launches and maintain campaign momentum in alignment with account strategy.

• Serves as a trusted storage solutions consultant for the designated accounts/region.

• Reinforces and articulates HPE's strategy and portfolio to partners and champions to uncover new business opportunities and contacts, including new logos when applicable.

• Skillfully uses references to create narratives that simplify complex technologies for customers.

• Actively cultivates customer interest and anticipates buying trends.

• Connects business and financial advantages with technology offerings.

• Demonstrates the ROI & TCO benefits of HPE offerings for customers' businesses.

• Fosters and maintains positive relationships with customers to ensure account retention and growth, positioning the company as the preferred vendor to meet their business needs.

• Assists in deal closures in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders, including account managers and channel partners.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or university degree preferred.

• Over 4 years of sales experience.

• Proven track record of achieving progressively higher quotas while interfacing with a diverse range of business customers at all levels.

• Storage-related sales experience is highly desirable.

• Extensive knowledge of vertical industries is essential.

• Located in New Jersey and within commuting distance to New York City (Manhattan), with the ability to travel approximately 50% for local, customer-facing engagements across the territory.

• Minimum of 4 years of selling experience with a major storage company.

• Established customer relationships with 5 major clients in the assigned territory.

• Expertise in working with an indirect channel model.

• In-depth competitive knowledge of at least one major storage vendor.

• Proficient in selling a comprehensive data lifecycle management portfolio, including block, file, backup, ransomware protection, and more.

• Extensive knowledge in at least one of the major verticals (FSI, manufacturing, Healthcare) and related solutions.

• Ability to conduct hands-on demonstrations of previously sold portfolios.

• Self-motivated and capable of quickly adapting.
