Stop Loss Claim Auditor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the evaluation and auditing of specific stop loss claim submissions.

• Verify claim documentation and supporting records for accuracy and completeness.

• Analyze data pertaining to medical and pharmaceutical claims.

• Aid in identifying discrepancies in claims, overpayments, and findings from audits.

• Utilize Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to organize, analyze, and report data.

• Assist auditors in the preparation of client reports and audit summaries.

• Engage in process improvement initiatives and special projects.

• Uphold the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and sensitive client data.

• Communicate audit findings and project status with team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore in college, pursuing a degree in Healthcare or a related Science field.

• Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks in a remote setting.

• Coursework or internship experience in healthcare, insurance, auditing, or claims administration (preferred).

• Familiarity with healthcare claims processing or medical billing concepts (preferred).

• Experience in using Excel features, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables (preferred).

• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, such as Medicare, DRG, or RBRVS (preferred).

• Experience with Microsoft Access or other database applications (preferred).
