Stop Loss Claim Auditor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the evaluation and auditing of specific stop loss claim submissions.

• Confirm the completeness and accuracy of claim documentation and supporting records.

• Analyze data related to medical and pharmaceutical claims.

• Help identify discrepancies in claims, overpayments, and audit findings.

• Use Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to organize, analyze, and present data.

• Aid auditors in compiling client reports and audit summaries.

• Engage in process improvement initiatives and special projects.

• Uphold the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and sensitive client data.

• Communicate with team members regarding audit findings and project progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore in college, pursuing a degree in Healthcare or a Science-related field.

• Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.

• Relevant coursework or internship experience in healthcare, insurance, auditing, or claims administration.

• Understanding of healthcare claims processing or concepts related to medical billing.

• Experience utilizing Excel features such as formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables.

• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including Medicare, DRG, or RBRVS.

• Experience with Microsoft Access or other database applications.
