Stop Loss Claim Auditor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the review and auditing of designated stop loss claim submissions

• Validate claim documentation along with supporting records for thoroughness and precision

• Analyze data from medical and pharmaceutical claims

• Aid in identifying claim discrepancies, overpayments, and findings from audits

• Use Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to organize, analyze, and report data effectively

• Support auditors in the creation of client reports and summaries of audit findings

• Engage in initiatives for process improvement and special projects

• Ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and sensitive client data

• Communicate audit findings and project updates with team members

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently a sophomore in college pursuing a degree in Healthcare or a related Science field

• Strong analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills

• Exceptional attention to detail along with robust organizational abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple tasks in a remote setting

• Coursework or internship experience related to healthcare, insurance, auditing, or claims administration (preferred)

• Familiarity with concepts of healthcare claims processing or medical billing (preferred)

• Experience utilizing Excel features such as formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables (preferred)

• Exposure to healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including Medicare, DRG, or RBRVS (preferred)

• Familiarity with Microsoft Access or other database applications (preferred)
