Stop Loss Claim Auditor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in reviewing and auditing specific stop loss claim submissions.

• Validate claim documentation and supporting records for both completeness and accuracy.

• Analyze medical and pharmaceutical claims data.

• Help identify discrepancies in claims, overpayments, and audit findings.

• Use Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to organize, analyze, and report on data.

• Support auditors in the preparation of client reports and audit summaries.

• Engage in process improvement initiatives and special projects.

• Ensure the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and sensitive client data.

• Communicate with team members regarding audit findings and the status of projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore in college, pursuing a degree in Healthcare or a Science-related field.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High attention to detail along with robust organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Excellent skills in both written and verbal communication.

• Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks in a remote setting.

• Relevant coursework or internship experience in healthcare, insurance, auditing, or claims administration.

• Familiarity with healthcare claims processing or medical billing principles.

• Experience utilizing Excel features such as formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables.

• Exposure to healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including Medicare, DRG, or RBRVS.

• Experience with Microsoft Access or other database applications.
