Stop Loss Claim Auditor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the evaluation and auditing of specific stop loss claim submissions.

• Verify the completeness and accuracy of claim documentation and supporting records.

• Analyze data pertaining to medical and pharmaceutical claims.

• Aid in the identification of claim discrepancies, overpayments, and audit results.

• Employ Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to organize, analyze, and present data.

• Assist auditors in creating client reports and summarizing audit findings.

• Engage in process improvement initiatives and special projects.

• Uphold the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and sensitive client details.

• Collaborate with team members regarding audit results and project updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore in college, pursuing a degree in Healthcare or a related Science field.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.

• Relevant coursework or internship experience in healthcare, insurance, auditing, or claims administration.

• Understanding of healthcare claims processing or medical billing principles.

• Experience utilizing Excel features such as formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables.

• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement methods, including Medicare, DRG, or RBRVS.

• Experience with Microsoft Access or other database software.
