Stock Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Performing reconciliation of inventory across all locations between the warehouse management system and ERP (SAP ByDesign) to enhance availability.

• Conducting investigations and resolving inventory discrepancies while implementing process enhancements to prevent recurring issues.

• Overseeing all stock deliveries into the ERP system.

• Tracking stock valuation and probing into discrepancies.

• Managing stock counts and preparing year-end documentation for auditors.

• Developing and refining stock management procedures.

• Taking ownership of specific general ledger accounts related to inventory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a commercial finance team.

• Background in a stock-focused business, preferably with imported goods.

• Proficient in Excel, with a preference for the use and adoption of automation.

• Familiarity with an ERP and/or stock management system.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and confidence in collaborating with operational stakeholders.
