Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Independently generate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code), including fixed assets, account reconciliations, and documentation ready for audits.

• Prepare and review VAT pre-declarations, ensuring timely submissions across Europe.

• Actively participate in the consolidation process of the group, which consists of eight entities.

• Conduct intercompany reconciliations and collaborate closely with the Financial Controlling team.

• Carry out regular payment runs.

• Assist during audits.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of accounting processes.

• Report directly to the Function Lead of Accounting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of substantial experience in preparing financial statements under HGB, preferably within a multi-entity group structure.

• Strong understanding of German tax law, especially VAT in an international context.

• Proficient in German with good command of English.

• Skilled in Excel and accounting software within a group setting.

• Detail-oriented, with audit-ready documentation and precise account reconciliations.

• Capability to perform under pressure during closing periods and tax deadlines.

• Ability to clearly communicate financial figures to non-financial stakeholders.

• Close coordination with Controlling, tax advisors, and auditors.
