This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver on-site technical guidance to utility and nuclear power plants owned by customers for turbine generator systems.
• Evaluate engineering documents, P&IDs, manufacturing drawings, and schematic diagrams related to the plant.
• Diagnose issues with plant systems and equipment.
• Strategically plan, organize, integrate, and manage labor, tools, materials, and other resources to fulfill contractual work scopes.
• Execute maintenance and repairs on power generation equipment safely.
• Meet contractual obligations for Steam Turbine Mechanical and Generator skill sets.
• Supervise and direct repair or inspection processes utilizing electronic communication, references, and documentation technologies.
• Identify, anticipate, and document potential failures, along with recommendations for future outages.
• Collaborate as a Service Team member focused on safety metrics.
• Engage in pre-outage planning and recommend, implement, and supervise policies, procedures, and projects within the TFA's core competency.
• Assist in warranty administration and troubleshoot related issues.
• Address business requirements when not engaged in field assignments.
• Travel as necessary for field assignments, including working during holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Secure and maintain unescorted security access to nuclear facilities throughout North America.
• Technical or university degree, or equivalent experience; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of Field Services experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas or power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or installation/commissioning of power plant equipment.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience with diverse turbine generator equipment and site-related responsibilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel 80% across North America.
• Capability to obtain and maintain unescorted security access to nuclear facilities in North America.
• Availability to work during holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
• Proficient understanding of prints, manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams.
• Practical experience in steam turbine maintenance; familiarity with GE, Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge and application of EHS regulations.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to manage customer relationships related to technical and contractual matters.
• Adherence to GE Vernova QA manual and procedures.
• Strong business insight and ability to promote GE products to clients.
• Must be physically capable of walking 5 miles per day, climbing ladders, and lifting 20 lbs.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
