Staff UX/UI Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Define the design strategy and direction for significant projects, overseeing the end-to-end design process for intricate, multi-platform products.

• Manage the architecture and governance of design systems across various products and teams.

• Lead the UX research strategy, choose appropriate methodologies, integrate research into the delivery process, and ensure that insights shape product direction.

• Advocate for AI-powered design workflows and spearhead their adoption in engagements, including tools like Figma AI and Claude.

• Enhance design operations and implement process improvements for the Experience team.

• Drive initiatives related to internal marketing, business development, and the evolution of design practices.

• Collaborate with leadership and clients to establish design direction.

• Work closely with engineers, strategists, and delivery leads.

• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and collaborative sessions.

• Guide junior and mid-level designers through mentorship.

• Set design quality standards and foster a culture of critique.

• Make design choices that balance usability, business objectives, and technical limitations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in UX/UI design with a solid product background.

• Proficient in Figma with expertise in design system architecture.

• Extensive experience in leading design systems at scale, focusing on architecture, governance, and cross-team integration.

• Comprehensive UX research experience, including formulating research strategies, selecting methodologies, and translating findings into product direction.

• Proven experience in defining design strategies for complex products or projects.

• Skilled in presenting and influencing at leadership and client levels.

• Demonstrated success in mentoring designers and enhancing team skills.

• Strong familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and leading their adoption within teams, such as Figma AI and Claude.

• Experience in facilitating workshops, design sprints, and collaborative sessions with clients and cross-functional teams.

• Background in service design, leadership in design operations, or expertise in multi-platform design is advantageous.

• A successful background check may be necessary in accordance with local regulations.
