This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.
• Conduct high-impact generative and evaluative research for significant product initiatives.
• Develop and maintain expertise on users, challenges, and competitive environments across various product themes.
• Manage a multi-quarter research backlog by collecting, prioritizing, and sequencing issues across product domains.
• Review and enhance the work of junior researchers while establishing research quality standards.
• Facilitate research critique sessions and oversee the rituals of the Research team.
• Collaborate with senior PMs and XD leads to prioritize research questions that mitigate risks and emphasize high-impact research.
• Synthesize insights from diverse sources to inform product vision and roadmaps.
• Create and direct the research program strategy for the designated product area.
• Mentor researchers and enhance research capabilities through workshops and apprenticeships.
• Participate in the hiring process and talent assessment.
• Work alongside Data Science, Analytics, and Marketing Insights on mixed-methods approaches, human-centered metrics, and key performance indicators.
• Assess how effectively product areas fulfill user needs and leverage insights to prioritize the research backlog.
• Deliver engaging research narratives to stakeholders and guide researchers on narrative structure and audience engagement.
• Over 7 years of UX Research experience.
• Proven history of leading strategic research initiatives across various product areas.
• Experience in developing and executing mixed-methods research strategies.
• Skilled in collaborating with data and analytics teams to create human-centered metrics and experimental frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of research methodologies and the ability to choose the appropriate method for each task.
• Strong portfolio showcasing research deliverables aligned with business objectives and yielding actionable insights.
• Capability to present compelling research narratives to senior stakeholders.
• A degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
