Staff Technical Product Marketing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of positioning and messaging for designated products and markets, based on demonstrable value.

• Act as the positioning expert for Product Marketing, Sales, DevRel, and executive leadership teams.

• Keep an eye on frontier labs, hyperscalers, inference providers, and neoclouds.

• Develop technical demonstrations, sample applications, and code in Python and JavaScript.

• Generate technical blogs, demos, diagrams, livestreams, and other content tailored to specific audiences.

• Represent DigitalOcean at events and collaborate with executives for third-party appearances.

• Ensure launch readiness across Product, Engineering, DevRel, and Sales teams.

• Establish launch success metrics and evaluate adoption, pipeline, deal velocity, and win rates.

• Provide Account Executives and Solutions Engineers with talk tracks, demo environments, and battlecards.

• Create a repeatable launch playbook.

• Guide other Product Marketing Managers while setting team frameworks and standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong technical practitioner with comfort in an Integrated Development Environment (IDE).

• Capable of scripting against an API.

• Proficient in independently creating a containerized environment.

• Credible interaction with systems architects.

• Significant experience in software development or solutions engineering.

• Up-to-date knowledge of inference, RAG architectures, agentic frameworks, and the model landscape.

• Demonstrated ability to present complex technical products on stage and in high-profile content.

• Proven track record of simplifying complex technical ideas into clear, specific, and verifiable narratives.

• Capability to measure adoption, pipeline, deal velocity, and win rates, linking go-to-market efforts to business outcomes.

• Experience in owning the go-to-market strategy for a product line or category.

• Over 10 years of experience in marketing developer platforms, APIs, or technical products, or equivalent time in software development or solutions engineering.
