Staff Supply Chain Security Engineer, Docker Hardened Images

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establishing the technical direction across the entire catalogue

• Taking ownership of complex packaging challenges

• Creating and managing image definition files

• Modifying upstream Helm charts to be compatible with DHI images

• Leading the strategy for security hardening

• Designing and developing integration test infrastructure using Go

• Elevating standards through review processes and mentorship

• Collaborating with teams across product, security, and customer-facing roles

• Engaging with upstream projects

• Participating in the compensated on-call rotation for the team

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in backend engineering with production-level systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience

• Extensive knowledge of the container and Kubernetes ecosystem

• Proficient in YAML as a primary working language

• Strong background in container security

• Go programming skills adequate for designing test infrastructure

• A maintainer's mentality applied at scale

• Robust technical judgment in uncertain scenarios

• Proven history of influencing technical decisions without formal authority

• Comprehensive understanding of GitHub-centric open source workflows
