This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Assist field sales in demonstrating the advantages of the Kong API/Connectivity Management platform to clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs and illustrate how the Kong platform can address them. Cultivate trusted relationships with clients throughout the entire sales process, from initial product evaluations to production.
• Provide support for Proofs of Concept (PoCs) throughout the entire assessment phase.
• Maintain 100% customer satisfaction across the designated accounts.
• Prioritize client requirements and liaise with support, product, and engineering teams to fulfill customer needs.
• Develop technical documentation for DevOps, implementations, and service engagements.
• Contribute to top-of-funnel marketing efforts by creating blogs, hosting webinars, and participating in trade shows and field events.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the manager.
• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering and/or sales engineering management within a SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise Software organization.
• Strong comprehension of cloud computing trends and open source business models.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to confidently facilitate discussions with a group of Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives.
• Passion for thriving in a high-profile, fast-paced startup environment.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and other cloud-native platforms.
• Experience with APIs, CI/CD automation frameworks, and AI and LLM technologies.
